Join an experienced guide for a hike through Breckenridge’s fabled Golden Horseshoe, one of Colorado’s most fertile mining regions and the location of dozens of early mining operations. Along the way, take in scenic views of Ten Mile Range, hear about the local environment, and see the ruins of mine sites and the gold-gobbling Reiling Dredge boat. This hike is approximately 2.5 miles round-trip with uphill sections and lasts approximately 2 hours.
From the Breckenridge Welcome Center (203 South Main Street), travel north on Main Street. Turn right onto Wellington Road and travel approximately 1 mile. At the stop sign, turn right onto French Gulch Road. Travel 0.5 miles and the road will turn to a well maintained gravel road. Travel an additional 0.7 miles to the B & B Trail Head. Look for a small brown sign on the right - it is easy to miss! Turn right at the sign into the parking lot.
There is no public transportation to the B & B Trail Head.
